John P Brennan

I was not able yet to get anything further on John P from either Cloquet or Carlton County , Minn, BUT I did find where a John P Brennan received a homestead ( Claire McLaughlin and Frank O'Hara have a copy of the Certificate) in Traverse County, Minn on 8 Jun 1901. Haven't been able to find any pedigree yet so can't confirm it is our J.P.
Traverse Co is on the far west of the state , with Wheaton as the county seat, while Carlton is on the far west of the state & both roughly half way up (or down, if you prefer) Of course there are many other Brennans in Traverse Co: Michael & James etc; and others in other counties but I can't get much more than that yet.

a-Brennan, Clarence undergraduate U.S. Infantry, Co. F and
b-Brennan, Richard undergraduate Auto School, Spokane
I haven't researched Richard yet to see if he's related!!
2) BIOGRAPHY INDEX - 1926 COUNTY HISTORY
In 1926, the Pioneer Historical Publishing Company published the two volume "History of Snohomish County, Washington". Volume II contains over 800 biographical entries for the "leading citizens of the area".
The cruncher is that beginning on page 44 is the Biography of John P Brennan, Mukilteo, born 1863 (1860?) from Ont, Canada!!
